the
runway
for
a
new
arrival.
After
all,
the
Project
Runway
judge
announced
that
she’s
expecting
her
second
child
with
husband
Jonathan
Singletary
June
13.
“This
was
not
part
of
my
plan,”
Elaine
said
during
her
opening
remarks
at
a
fundraiser
for
the
nonprofit
birthFUND. “This
is
God’s
plan.
But
as
we
were
building
birthFUND,
I
happened
to
find
out
that
my
baby’s
going
to
be
part
of
the
first
birthFund
cohort.
So,
let’s
go!
Let’s
go!”
As
the
founder
of
the
nonprofit—an
initiative
to
provide
midwifery
resources
for
expecting
mothers—explained,
her
second
pregnancy
is
going
a
lot
smoother.
And
she
credited
the
resources
she’s
used
earlier
on
than
she
did
for
her
last.
“So
good
and
so
much
better
than
I
did
last
time
because
this
time
I
have
a
midwife
from
the
beginning,”
she
told
People
at
the
event. “Last
time
I
didn’t
even
discover
midwifery
until
my
third
trimester.
I
didn’t
even
work
up
the
nerve
to
do
a
home
birth
until
week
36.
So
this
time,
my
experience
of
pregnancy
has
transformed
because
I
have
access.”
