her
endless
love.
When
the
music
legend
arrived
at
the
Metropolitan
Museum
of
Art
on
May
5—her
first
time
back
at
the
Gala
in
22
years—it
was
a
show-stopping
moment,
literally.
The
red
carpet
had
to
be
all
but
cleared
to
accommodate
Diana’s
18-foot-long
train.
And
within
that
train
was
a
sweet
homage
to
the
81-year-old’s
family—including
kids
and
fellow
2025
Met
Gala
attendees Tracee
Ellis
Ross
and
Evan
Ross.
“It
has
the
names
of
all
my
children
and
my
eight
grandchildren,”
Diana
told
La
La
Anthony
on
the
carpet. “So
everybody’s
name
is
embroidered,
embroidered
in
that.
And
the
hat—you
know,
like,
I
have
to
be
careful
with
the
hat
because
my
head
was
pretty
big.”
In
addition
to
her
train,
the
Supremes
singer—who
is
also
mom
to
kids Rhonda
Ross
Kendrick,
Ross
Naess,
and
Chudney
Ross—wore
a
bejeweled
silver
gown
as
well
as
a
large-brim,
feathered
hat
by
Ugo
Mozie.
But
while
Diana’s
appearance
marked
an
epic
return
to
the
Met
Gala,
she
admitted
she
almost
didn’t
accept
her
invite.
I
was
only
at
the
urging
of
Evan
that
she
said
yes.
