Euphoria
fans

ever
be

Amid
reports
the
long-awaited
third
season
of
the
Zendaya-led
drama
had
been
scrapped,
HBO
issued
a
statement
confirming
plans
for
new
episodes
are
still
on
track.
“Euphoria is
going
into
production
in
2025,”
a
rep
for
the
network
told
The
Independent
Nov.
8.
“Nothing
has
changed.”
The
series,
which
follows
a
group
of
high
school
students
navigating
drugs,
sexuality
and
trauma
in
the
age
of
social
media,
debuted
in
2019
and
led
to
career
breakthroughs
for
several
cast
members
including
Jacob
Elordi,
Sydney
Sweeney
and
Hunter
Schafer.
Following
the
conclusion
of
season
two
in
2022,
production
on
the
third
season
has
faced
numerous
delays,
impacted
by
the
2023
WGA
and
SAG-AFTRA
strikes
as
well
as
the
death
of
Angus
Cloud
in
July
2023.
However,
HBO
previously
confirmed
filming
is
set
to
kick
off
in
January
2025.
In

Zendaya—whose
performance
as
troubled
teen
Rue
Bennett
earned
her
two
Emmy
Awards
for
Outstanding
Lead
Actress
in
a
Drama
Series—reaffirmed
the
show’s
future
when
she
revealed

season

off.
