both
are
in
the
industry
and
we
have
parents
that
are
in
a
similar
industry
as
well,
but
we
met
randomly,
actually,”
the
actress,
who
is
the
daughter
of
Phil
Collins
and
Jill
Tavelman,
told
Ellen
DeGeneres
in
2022
about
her
relationship
with
the
filmmaker,
whose
parents
are
Malcolm
McDowell
and
Mary
Steenburgen. “So
we
were
kind
of
surprised
we
hadn’t
met
yet.
We’d
been
in
the
same
rooms
a
bunch
of
times
and
never
met.
But
it
was
kind
of
one
of
those
cheesy-but-true
love-at-first-sight
things.”
The
couple—who
worked
together
in
Gilded
Rage
and
Windfall—
made
their
romance
Instagram
official
in
2019.
The
following
year,
they
got
engaged
in
New
Mexico
while
on
a
road
trip,
with
Charlie
proposing
with
a
rose-cut
diamond
ring.
The
two
tied
the
knot
in
a
private
Colorado
ceremony
in
2021
and
have
continued
to
take
on
the
world
together.
“We
can
kind
of
conquer
anything,”
Lily
told
E!
the
following
year. “We’ve
been
through
so
many
changes
globally,
personally.
And
to
be
able
to
have
a
partner
next
to
you
that
makes
you
laugh
in
times
when
you
need
it
the
most
and
helps
you
emotionally
get
through
things,
like
moving
to
a
foreign
country
for
four
months,
I
just
feel
so
grateful
that
I
have
someone
next
to
me
to
be
able
to
accomplish
that
and
your
best
friend
with
you
all
the
time.”
