Take,

instance,
Dan
Aykroyd,
who
was
an
original
cast
member
on
the
show,
starring
in
seasons
one
through
four
from
1975
to
1979.
Though
he
was
absent
from
the
crowd,
the
72-year-old
did
give
a
shout
out
to
the
celebration.
“Cracking
a

with
pride
at
having
been
a
co-founder
of
SNL
along
with
everyone
we
were
together
with
in
those
four
years,
five
decades
ago,”
he
wrote
on
X
Feb.
14. “This
telecast
is
as
historical
as
the
next
moon
landing.
