Cowboys’ Randy Gregory will file for reinstatement

Embattled Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory is now on an indefinite suspension from the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, but he will file for reinstatement within another 10 days, NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported on Friday.

The Dallas Morning News’ David Moore first reported the information.
Slater added that within this proposition, Gregory will exhibit a strengthened support system that can help him manage”expectations of this program.”
Gregory was suspended on Feb. 26. It had been the fourth largest suspension for its 26-year-old Gregory since his 2015 NFL Draft selection by Dallas.
In the aftermath of his latest suspension, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett went to record with his entire support. Taking it a step further, Dallas extended Gregory’s contract through 2020.
Since being drafted in 2015, Gregory has played in 28 games with just 1 start and missed all of the 2017 year owing to his third suspension. Last year was far and away his most productive as he played in 14 games with the aforementioned beginning and gathered six sacks, 25 tackles and two forced fumbles. For his career, he has 45 tackles, seven sacks and these two forced fumbles.
