Why Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Feels He’s Been Villainized

“I
think
for
a
long,
long
time,
he
told
me
that
he
tried
really
hard
to
bring
the
other
relationships
up
to
what
he
thought
our
relationship
is
and
was,”
she
explained.
“He
wanted
that
with
all
of
the
relationships,
but
it
was
just
like,
a
relationships
is
based
on
the
two
people
in
that
relationship.”

Meanwhile,

Kody
stood
by
his
previous
claims

that
he
“never
loved”
his
former
wives.

“It’s
not
a
matter
of
rewriting
the
past,”
he
noted.
“It’s
a
matter
of
where
I
was
in
the
breakup.
I
am
definitely
guilty
of
going
through
a
b
reakup
scenario
where
I
was
like,
‘I
never
loved
them.’
My
state
of
mind
there,
it’s
like
just
the
heartfelt,
like
I’m
digging
in
my
feelings
and
going,
‘I
never
loved
them.’
And
that’s
because
of
the
space
that
we
were
in.
Marriage
has
to
be
nurtured.”

But
while
Robyn
could
agree
that
her
relationship
with
Kody
was
different,
she
thinks
he
actually
did
love
Christine,
Janelle
and
Meri,
too.

“I
feel
like
that’s
just
pain
talking,”
she
posited.
“I
feel
like
that’s
bitterness
talking,
anger
talking.”

No
matter
how
he
felt
about
his
former
wives,
Kody
rejected
being
villainized
for
his
relationship
with
Robyn.
As
he
put
it,
“You
cannot
ever
blame
the
fact
that
Robyn
and
I
had
a
deep
love
on
the
way
that
these
other
relationships
went.”

There’s
certainly
a
lot
to
unpack
in
the
lives
of
