wearing

engagement

while
kissing
the
retired
football

wrote

Instagram
Feb.
12, “4x4xU
forever.”

The
caption
was
a
sweet
nod
to
her
2024
single “4x4xU,”
which
she

performed
in
front
of
Duck
last
year
at
the
CMA
Awards.

The
couple
began
dating
back
in
2021,
when
he
was
still
playing
for
the
Pittsburgh
Steelers.

“But
then
it
all
changed,”
she
recounted
in
an
August
interview
with

Apple
Music
1,
explaining
how
he
signed
with
the
Los
Angeles
Rams. “It
was
like
his
life
was
changing
as
my
life
was
changing
and
we
were
going
different
directions.”

Still,
the
couple
weathered
the “whirlwind.”

“I
finally
found
a
guy
that
gives
me
a
run
for
my
money,”
Lainey
continued. “And
he’s
my
biggest
cheerleader.
He’s
just
a
good
person.
And
he
knows
how
important
chasing
down
a
dream
is
because
even
when
he
was
a
little
boy,
football
was
his
life.”
