Allen Iverson, Wife Tawanna Turner Reconcile After 2013 Divorce

Judge Greg Mathis and Linda Mathis Detail Reconciliation One Year After Filing for Divorce

Rekindling their love was the answer for Allen Iverson and his wife Tawanna Turner.

The former NBA star revealed that more than a decade after their 2013 divorce, he and Tawanna are back together, expressing how his longtime love calling time on their marriage ended up being a major turning point for him.

“It was self-inflicted, but Tawanna divorcing me, that’s when I knew I had hit my lowest point and it was time for some deep self-reevaluation,” Allen told Stephen A. Smith on First Take Oct. 8. “I mean, my number one. Obviously, we been together 35 years. If you hang in there that long, it takes a lot to wanna go. And I came to find out afterwards once we got back together.”

Tawanna—who shares children Tiaura, 30, Allen II, 27, Isaiah, 22, Messiah, 20, and Dream, 17, with Allen—initially filed to end their marriage in 2010 but withdrew the request. The following year, however, The 50-year-old—who wed Allen in 2001 years after falling for each other in high school—filed again, with their divorce being finalized in 2013.
